Prior to joining Bain Capital Crypto, Alex was a researcher at Placeholder, where he focused on early-stage investing in DeFi, blockchain scalability, and privacy technologies. Drawn to problems that bridge theoretical ideas to practical implementation, he has published research on financial protocols, privacy, and consensus.

Wei Dai
Wei Dai focuses on zero-knowledge cryptography and protocol design. Prior to his work as a research partner at 1kx, W. Dai worked as a research partner at Bain Capital Crypto. He also held research positions at NTT Research, the University of Washington, and Visa Research, where he contributed to cutting-edge research in the field of blockchain technology. W. Dai obtained his Ph.D. from UC San Diego and holds B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from the College of Creative Studies at UCSB, as well as a Masters's from UCSB.
Stefan Cohen
Stefan Cohen is Partner at Bain Capital Ventures, built Turbonomic’s Strategy and Operations team. His team was responsible for cross-functional, go-to-market strategy, process design and operational improvement. Stefan spent his last year at Turbonomic leading their expansion into EMEA.Before joining Turbonomic, Stefan was a senior consultant on IBM’s internal corporate strategy team. The team advised IBM’s business units on growth strategy and operational improvement projects.Stefan graduated from Clark University with a degree in economics. He lives in San Francisco and enjoys escaping the city for outdoor adventures.
Guillermo Angeris
Guillermo is a Stanford lifer (BS, MS, and PhD in Electrical Engineering). He spends most of his work time in a dark corner of a room, figuring out random math problems for fun. He also loves to work with teams to model many of the weird (and fascinating) incentives in DeFi and beyond. Outside of work, Guillermo likes to cook pizza, hike, and have long, silly conversations with friends over wine.

TuongVy Le is a member of the Board of Directors of the Blockchain Association and previously served as General Counsel at Anchorage, Partner and Chief Regulatory and Policy Officer at Bain Capital Crypto, and Associate General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Worldcoin. She is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego and Yale University.

Chris Hofmann was previously a partner at Bain Capital Crypto. He first became interested in cryptocurrencies in 2017 and specializes in the Cosmos ecosystem.

Khurram Dara
Khurram is a capital markets lawyer and former Head of Regulatory Policy and Crypto at Bain Capital, who has been helping cryptocurrency projects navigate the legal and regulatory landscape since 2017, with a focus on tokens, DeFi, NFTs, and DAOs. He was previously general counsel at Fluidity, the team behind AirSwap and prior to that practiced law at Orrick, where he worked with crypto projects as outside counsel. He began his legal career at Cahill Gordon & Reindel and is a graduate of Columbia Law School. Outside of work, Khurram enjoys playing soccer with friends and watching his beloved Buffalo Bills.
Kevin Zhang
Kevin is a Partner at Bain Capital Ventures, where he has led early-stage investments in the fintech and developer products sectors since joining in 2017. Prior to Bain Capital, Kevin was the first Head of Business and Product at Fundera, a lending marketplace that was later acquired by NerdWallet (NASDAQ: NRDS).
