Charlie Shrem is a partner at Druid Ventures and former Vice Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation and CEO of BitInstant. Shrem was arrested in 2014 and sentenced to two years in prison for indirectly participating in the transfer of $1 million in bitcoin to the Silk Road black market.
